 ***WOC 2013 ANNOUNCEMENTS***

3/27/13 - REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!  Deposits are due by June 1, and forms are due by July 1.  Adults, mark your calendars for the pre-weekend meeting on Thursday, July 18th, 7:00 pm at The Well in Ponchatoula.

What is Weekend of the Cross?

W.O.C. is a Christ-driven mission opportunity for youth, offered by the Baton Rouge and New Orleans Districts each year.  The goal of W.O.C. is to spread the love and grace of Jesus Christ to those in need.  W.O.C. primarily uses repair and maintenance opportunities as a doorway to share the good news of the gospel.  While at the four-day event, youth experience unconditional giving like that of a servant.  They will also experience heart-stirring worship, dynamic Bible study, and will form new friendships by serving with other youth.

Where is it and what is the cost?

W.O.C. takes place on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, and this year we are happy to announce that we will be staying at Camp Living Water in Robert, LA.  No more air mattresses...everyone gets a bed!  The cost of the weekend is $125 per participant.  This includes lodging, all meals, and all activities.  All registration fees are non-refundable.  There are a limited number of scholarships available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who can attend and participate?

Any youth who has completed 6th through 12th grade may come with their church.  Every church group attending must have one adult for every four youth.  We depend on adult participants to provide transportation to and from job sites, so we request that adults drive vehicles that can transport at least four passengers.
